Mrs. Catherine Austin, Oak Park, died yesterday, aged 85 years. She was the widow of John Austin and was one of the old residents of the suburb. Mrs. Austin was born in the Highlands of Scotland, and at the age of 15 came to America. She was married in Toronto to Mr. Austin, and moved to Ogle County, Ill., in 1840. She came to Chicago in 1868, and had resided here ever since. Mrs. Austin left three sons and two daughters. The funeral will take place from the family residence on Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment will be at Rosehill.
