The research was based on the original manuscript for Thomas Austin of Methuen, compiled by Edith Austin Moore. This database starts with ancestor Samuel Austin, born about 1639. He married Hopestill (probably Bell) about 1668, probably in Boston, Massachusetts. He appears in only two known records, that of the births of his two sons, Samuel in 1669 and Thomas in 1671.
