John Austin of New Haven, CT
Compiler:

According to the History of Wallingford, Connecticut John Austen was listed as one of the original proprietors of Wallingford.  However, since he was not a house owner in the town when it was laid out, the Wallingford Bi-centennial Commission did not list John as a founder.  John settled in New Haven before 1667 when he married Mercy Atwater of New Haven, and with her had eight children.  John died in New haven on 11 Feb 1689/90.
