This database starts with ancestor John Austin, born about 1732, died 20 Jan 1820 in Farmington, Franklin Co. ME, married Sarah (probably ANDRESS) in Brunswick, ME.   John fought under General Wolfe in the Battle of Plains of Abraham near Quebec, 13 Sep 1759.   John enlisted 1776 at Brunswick, ME in Capt. Wild's Company, for one year, then enlisted  1777 for three years at Albany, NY in the company of Josiah Jenkins' Massachusetts Line.  John was at the taking of Burgoyne in 1777.
