John & Ann Austin of Albemarle County, Virginia

John Austin was born 25 July 1755, and was married to Ann Baden on 11 May 1777 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Ann was born on 21 November 1757. They were living in Albemarle County, Virginia by 1752. They had ten children beginning in 1778 through to1801. It is thought that John died 3 Dec 1823.

This database has been assembled from the extensive research of Bert Addis Austin (1926-1994) as documented by him in numerous papers in the AFAOA archives as well as his excellent article appearing on page 114 in "Austins of America," August 1984.

A major portion of this material had been available in our Southern Unplaced database. AFAOA Genealogist Liz Austin Carlin has moved it here, updated the material and will be serving as the compiler. Please send corrections, questions, updates, etc. to her.
