Edward Austin of Rhode Island Compiler:

Edward Austin is the first known ancestor of Austin Families Association of America's founder Edith Austin Moore. His line was first published in the back of the Edith's book Robert Austin of Rhode Island along with other Austin lines that she felt were closely related to the Robert line.

Recent (2004) DNA tests now show that Edward is not a direct descendant of Robert. Instead, the tests suggests that a remote connection may have occurred a number of generations back in England.
