John fought under General Wolfe in the Battle of the Plains of Abraham near Quebec, 13 Sep 1759. John enlisted in 1776 at Brunswick in Capt. Wild's Company for one year, then enlisted in 1777 for three years at Albany, New York in Josiah Jenkins' company of the Massachusetts Line. John was at the taking of Burgoyne in 1777.
