Caleb Austin was born about 1777 probably in New York. Caleb and wife Lydia appear in New York in the 1810 Census before removing to Meigs County, Ohio in 1816-1819. He later moved to Athens County, Ohio where he died in Lodi in about 1856. He and Lydia had 7 children.
